This second big under painting is in Acrylic wash, something I haven't done in years. I hate the plastic touch of the surface, the fumes at this scale with oil and mineral spirits otherwise could knock out a horse. I'll hit it with some sandpaper before the the oil layers. Maybe someday when Gogosian is paying, I'll be able to afford a larger well-ventilated studio.

Lets go to Rome, the Gogosian there has a Anselm Kiefer Show right now. I wish we had patrons. I need to be put up and kept in a hermitage on a sizable expanse of land.
